Did you ever imagine you could make butter with only 1 ingredient and no special tools? It looks like butter, smells like butter, tastes like butter, it is BUTTER.
Ingredients:
300 ml double cream
Salt (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
Have ice cold water at hand. Add the double cream into a food processor, with the whisk
attachement. Whisk at full speed until you see the double cream transforming into a lump and
releases liquid. Once you have the hardness and consistency of butter, remove from the bowl
and wash in cold water. Mine took approx. 10 minutes of whisking.
If you want your butter to be salted, add salt in the double cream, otherwise don't add
anything.
Place butter in a container and store in the fridge. It keeps for weeks.
Out of 300 ml of double cream you will make approx. 200 g of butter.
TIP: Don't throw away the liquid. This is actually buttermilk and you can use it for pancakes!
