Ingredients
1 kg spinach
1 garlic head
300 ml single cream
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp oil
1 tsp crushed chilli
Salt
Ground black pepper
Preparation
Keep 3 cloves of garlic aside, the paprika, oil and chilli.
Boil the spinach in water and salt for around 10 min, drain it and finely chop it.
In a wide pan, over low heat, melt the butter and add the finely diced garlic.
Fry for 1 min. And whilst mixing, add the flour and mix rigorously, to ensure it doesn’t burn or form any lumps.
Add the single cream, mix and add the spinach.
Add salt and pepper to taste and cook for 10 min.
In a small pan, heat the oil, fry the leftover garlic slices for a few seconds, add the paprika and chilli, fry for a few seconds and sprinkle on top of the spinach.
Tips
You can also fry chorizo slices with the paprika, it’s even more tastier.
